How Long Do Microblading Results Last? 

You can feel confident that your microblading results will last for at least 18 months. However, you should keep in mind that individual results vary based on a number of factors, including skin type, lifestyle choices, and the pigment used. In some cases, the results of this treatment last for 30 months.

What Can I Do to Extend the Longevity of My Results? 

There are a number of effective steps you can take to help your microblading results last as long as possible. For instance, you can keep your eyebrows dry for no fewer than seven days following your treatment. Another effective step you can take to extend the longevity of your results is to refrain from rubbing or otherwise exfoliating your skin. Similarly, you should avoid scratching your skin or getting IPL or skin resurfacing laser treatments.

Am I a Good Candidate for This Treatment? 

You can expect to be considered a good candidate for this treatment if you don’t like the way your eyebrows look and your skin is fairly healthy. However, you need to attend an initial evaluation with a cosmetic specialist to ensure this treatment will be both safe and effective for you.

Most of the time, people seek this treatment because they suffer from alopecia or were born with asymmetrical eyebrows. However, this treatment may also be right for you if you are displeased with the color of your eyebrows. Also, it is not uncommon for people to seek this treatment after undergoing chemotherapy. During your initial consultation, we will also verify that you can follow all preparation steps before determining whether you qualify for treatment.

What Contraindications Should I Be Aware of? 

There are a number of microblading contraindications you should be aware of. For example, you should know that you will not qualify for this treatment if you are under the age of 18, pregnant, or breastfeeding. You should also know that if you have had Botox injections within 21 days of your scheduled appointment, it will need to be rescheduled.

Furthermore, you will not qualify for this treatment if you have used Accutane within the past year. Moreover, you will not qualify for treatment if you suffer from diabetes.

What Will I Need to Do to Prepare? 

There are several preparation steps you must be willing and able to take to ensure this treatment is safe and effective for you. For example, you need to ensure that no chemical peels are scheduled within 60 days of your treatment. In other words, you can’t get this treatment for at least two months after a chemical peel, and you can’t get a chemical peel for at least two months following this treatment.

You will also need to abstain from alcohol and caffeine consumption for 24 hours prior to your scheduled treatment session, and you will need to refrain from tinting or waxing your eyebrows for 72 hours prior to treatment. Furthermore, you will need to refrain from using any anti-aging creams or other products containing chemicals that will result in premature eyebrow fading. For example, you should avoid retinols, AHAs, and glycolic acid.

What Should I Avoid On the Day of My Treatment? 

On the day of your treatment, you should avoid anything that results in heavy sweating, like vigorous exercise or a steaming hot shower. You also need to avoid anything that can thin your blood, like fatty acid supplements and NSAIDs on the day of your treatment and the day preceding your treatment.

What Will I Need to Do After My Treatment Session? 

You will need to refrain from getting Botox for at least four weeks following your treatment session. Furthermore, you will need to avoid excessive sweating for 14 days following your treatment session.
